Reaching out can change your life.
For many, attending a Survivor Day event is the first step in realizing they are not alone. With more than 350 events across the globe, those who have lost someone to suicide come together to share stories of healing, help one another reclaim hope, and forge bonds that can last a lifetime.
The Buffalo event takes place on Saturday, November 19, 2016 from 1 PM – 3 PM at the Buffalo Psychiatric Center, Butler Rehab Center Auditorium, 400 Forest Avenue, Buffalo, NY 14213.
A light lunch will be provided, and it’s asked to register in advance to accommodate the number of attendees. You can register by contacting: BuffaloPC@omh.ny.gov or calling 716-816-2011. There is no charge for this program. American Foundation for Suicide Prevention of Western New York (AFSP WNY) is the sponsor.
There is free parking in front of the building, enter at the Elmwood Avenue gate, just south of the SUNY Buffalo State entrance.
