On October 12th, we said “happy retirement” to a wonderful colleague and friend, our CFO, Barbara Gasiewicz. Barb had been with Crisis Services for over five and half years and served as a critical member of executive leadership team. During Barb’s tenure, she was a strategic partner with our CEO Jessica Pirro in helping to lead needed change to our infrastructure to move our agency and mission forward. Under her fiscal leadership, our financial picture positively shifted including a $2.5 million growth to our agency budget. She was a thought leader helping to streamline agency processes and procedures and was a great mentor to our leadership team on fiscal management and strategy. She was the master behind the orchestration of Crisis Services’ move in November 2017. She worked tirelessly in the months, weeks, and days leading up to the move. From paint swatches and office furniture, to meeting after meeting with the construction team and movers. Without her diligence and hard work, our new crisis center would still be a distant dream. We will truly miss her and her baker’s touch around the office.
With a goodbye, comes a hello. Filling her many shoes is Jesse Lewandowski CPA, MBA. Jesse has an MBA from Niagara University and is a Certified Public Accountant. She began her career in banking as an internal auditor before transitioning to public accounting. Post public accounting, Jesse entered the not-for-profit world and now comes to Crisis Services from UBMD Physicians Group.
We are excited to welcome Jesse to the team!
